HISTORY

I have been a graphic artist for over 21 years.

My first commercial project was designing a school mascot for Yates Elementary School in Brandon, Florida while still in High School.

After graduating, not knowing what I was going to do for a career, I was hired as an artist at a screen print shop in Ybor City to do t shirt designs. Using a copier for lettering and positives, it was very primitive. Then our printer had left and I had to learn how to print without any help. Soon I became manager of the shop and learned the trade. Working there for over ten years I improved my skills, doing all art by hand and printing positives on a PMT camera.

Then the company moved 75 miles up the road. It was time to make a decision, work for someone else (which I did apply for other jobs, but nobody was hiring) or go into business myself. So was born my first company.

Building the company from the ground up, I started with a 4 color press and a small dryer and produced my own prints. Slowly building the company with over a 60% increase in sales each year, we quickly outgrew the garage and moved into a 1200 sf building. Five years later moving into a 7500 sf building. I wanted to do more art so I then sold the business and became the full time artist.

I have since moved on and I am now doing freelance work for a varity of companies including screen printers and other media.
